【連縁/Len'en】Melon Battle Showcase (UNREAL)
Goofy ahh stages often require goofy ahh solutions🍈🍈🍈
Music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ubq-MUi2wAQ - there are actually a lot of "Japanese Goblin x The Only Thing I Know For Real" mashups, I picked my favourite one

This damn stage... THIS DAMN STAGE. While "Tough EE" was RNG-fest in the past... This is the RNG-fest. Having characters that don't have annoying traits of UNREAL bosses sounds good on paper... Until you realise they can easily crit you and you can easily miss them. I tried picking Tsurubami... One of the characters eventually died and resulted in defeat/stalemate. I tried picking Tenkai... Only beat it within 7 turns... So who could answer my pleas of beating this damn thing?
The answer is Hooaka, and with a goofy ahh strat at that. Y'see, Petite Heal is usually an underwhelming healing move, especially considering those who have it like Yabusame or Clause, but given Hooaka's high S.ATK... Well, guess aside from X-Ghost - Hooaka is arguably the best healer in the game. Seriously would've never expected that I would use Hooaka on this stage of all units in the game. Don't get me wrong - they're an amazing unit, but I never thought of them as a healer character ffs - yet here we are... Truly a goofy ahh experience if I ever had one
The team I used:
Hooaka - Healer/Support + Additional damage
Kurohebi - Sub-DPS, has a perk of "Bane of Humans"
Rei-kun - Main DPS
Reccomendations:
X-Ghost - Healer/Buffer, also a solid choice, albeit less offensive and luck reliant
If you ever watched my Monochrome Storm video, you should know how utterly broken Tenkai's substitute is - well I guess this stage is the reason why (and... AI of the game pretty much acknowledges this exploit). The great counter to their sub-barriers is "Crimson Lotus Sword" due to its innate high multiplier and wide multi-hit nature. Try to deal as much damage as Kurohebi as possible (and then use Rei-kun in opposite direction from Tsubakura) and use Hooaka as bait for Tsubakura. Tsubakura must be outside of sub-barriers because they hit like a truck and will melt your team if you're not careful. Then try to kill Tsuba using "Blind Shot" and "Samidare Boiler". Then try to kill Tenkai ASAP because Tsurubami will spam bivalences left and right like the asshole they are (healing and using flashbombs in-between) and when they die - finish off the remaining bastards. I had to re-record this stage again because of an oversight that could've doxxed me - which is undesireable, so that's why I'm kinda pissed right now (and sadly you couldn't hear Yabu moan when they got killed). Oh and because this stage while could've been *fun,* if not for RNG reliant factors of enemy crits and units' misses
So here are the things you should keep in mind:
- Kill Tsubakura, please
- Spam as much "Crimson Lotus Sword" and pray that RNGesus in face Xeno a will take mercy
- Never use Kuroji, I don't think they're even fit for that stage
- Have your skills at around 70-100 level depending on units' role
- Don't forget about flashbombs

Also Tenkai embracing their melon side is the best kind of fanservice (also why Beach Hecatia's "Water Planet" looks lowkey like "Oriental Melon "Melopepon""? I feel like this more than puny coincidense
