Lenovo IdeaPad Y410p - Metro 2033 Redux Performance Test (Ultra, No SSAA)
Metro Redux is a repackaging of the Metro games, probably to unify the experience between installments -- past and/or upcoming. Between the two Metros, it seems 2033 most benefited from this. Not only did it get a facelift, some optimization and mechanics carried over from Last Light. Meanwhile, Last Light feels more or less the same. Having played the original 2033 a while, I can say the Redux version noticeably performs better while taking the graphical upgrade into account. I think it even runs better than the original Last Light did.
Personally, I prefer the old 2033 look for the most part because it gave it an identity. But, whatever. I suppose the push to make it feel current has its merits.
