Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.

In this video we start working on the first component to replace the placeholder components in the CustomFeedView of our application. The first component that we create is the ViewListTopBar component that will display the list name and creator as well as allow us to navigate back to the lists page and display some extra options. To do this we created a new component called the ViewListTopBar. The ViewListTopBar also required two extra modal components that we also created directly in the file for the ViewListTopBar as well as a new SVG that we also created. Once we put everything together we styled the top bar and added it to the CustomFeedView debugging and ensuring the component looked and acted exactly how we wanted.
