Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.

In this episode we continue onwards with the ability to create a new list. We first start out by working in the backend updating the discovery service to be able to filter out the current user from results, as well as return a random list of suggested users. Then we hop back into the frontend where we create a new component to all the user to add members to a list. We focus on setting up the structure of the component before styling it to make it look like twitter. We will be focusing on adding the additional logic to make the component fetch the users in the next episode.
