It's pretty unlikely this game will have F.O.E.s. Most people agree they were the least loved aspect of the predecessor. It seems instead you'll ocassionaly run into enemy "hordes". This first of which has spells from all the random encounters of its 4th floor and will use up to four of their attacks before allowing us a significant timeframe to counter. I'd say you should whip out attacks until the boss ATB is at 8,000 before you switch in high-mind characters. If you don't have fragile damage dealers out without reason when the horde acts, you should be fine. Just don't forget to pack mystic resistance against the inevitable multi-target attacks.
I wonder if 3peso has a sort of love-hate relationship with Marisa, making her a main character in every game, yet awarding her to us on a set of floors where she has a lot of trouble being useful...
