The pocket plane is a very useful place indeed in this game, not just because it’s a safe haven from enemies where you can rest freely. You have multiple storage containers for keeping items that you don’t want to carry about and the ability to summon up almost any companion from the previous game so you can have them join you on your adventure. You won’t be able to continue any character arcs with companions summoned in such a way but it does allow you to build up a party if you’re short a few members or made a new character for the expansion. There’s also Cespenar but I think we went over what he does in depth in the last video.

Finally, there are the challenge rooms. Five in total, each holds a trial that we will no doubt go through at some point in our final adventure. The first must be faced so that we can gain the power to leave and travel to the pocket plane at will and can only be opened by Sarevok once he’s been brought back to life, making his resurrection mandatory. He’s also a pretty powerful fighter that has a very interesting character arc, provided you make the right choices when talking to him. Unfortunately for our half-brother, our party is full and so he’ll be staying in the pocket plane to silently observe our adventure.
