Welcome to part one of our cooperative playthrough of Core Keeper!

This game is in early access so the "story" basically doesn't exist. You're out adventuring! You see a shiny stone! You touch the tiny stone! You get teleported underground and now have to survive, terraria-style.

It's got crafting; it's got combat; it's got a hunger meter; it's got spooky boss battles. It checks a whole bunch of boxes for the kind of game that it is. I really adore the artwork and a lot of the little motion touches (like bashing on walls), and the combat is challenging but approachable. The scaling doesn't seem to off-balance, either.

Overall we're enjoying the game! Sadly it's in EA so the story isn't actually "complete" yet, so when we get to the end of he current content we'll have to put the series on pause until the official release, but that's just how it goes.
