Let's Play Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition Co-op [8] - Escort

I feel like Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition Coop gameplay is a real mouthful, even though it most accurately describes what this video features. Well, I guess it's a playthrough with coop commentary too, and not just some random coop gameplay. What I'm trying to get at is that Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is way too long of a name, which is a point that actually has nothing to do with the contents of this video, which are in fact coop gameplay from Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition and not complaining that such a phrase is too long. So anyway, the gameplay in this episode of the d:OS EE LP (even the contraction is too long) is mostly combat, but we also get to do an escort mission!

You may remember last episode we did some stealth and stole/harrassed Jake's wife about his murder. She let us in on a clue that Esmeralda, the healer's apprentice, (or something like that-- I can't remember every NPC) may have had somethign to do with this nefarious plot of political assassination! Divinity: Original Sin of course is a game without any magical quest compasses so I can understand the need to do some sleuthing, but I sure wish she (Jake's wife-- Evelyn I think?) had been a little more forthright with this information, but you gotta pad in the those gameplay hours somehow, right Larian. I'm joking by the way. I'd rather have some 20 minutes of handcrafted quest gameplay than boring combat. Although that boring combat refers to the combat in other games because the combat in Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition, and indeed Divinity: Original Sin regular edition is great. It's just that both the quests and the combat are fun modes of gameplay. Now if only the writing and story was better...

So anyway, we go and rob Esmerelda/Evelyn's (I forget which one is Jake's wife and which one is the healer) house, and find a letter from a mysterious conduit, a secret spell scroll, and some clues about a secret cave up north. But before going north, we have some more exploring to do east of Cyseal, so we do that first! And that's actually the brunt of this episode. We go and rescue some Legionnaire named Wolfram (not referring to Wolfgraff), and do a little escort mission. We also kill some skeletors and a zombie dog in glorious co-op combat!
