Let's Play Donkey Kong Country 3 GBA - Part 11: A Triple Threat of Treacherous Terrain
We are on to the sixth world of the game, Razor Ridge. Again, we could go check out Pacifica if we wanted, but now is not the time. This is a cliff world, not unlike K3, but more cavernous instead of snowy. We start things off not on a cliff, actually, but in a cave, and for whatever reason, a bird was chosen as the method of traversing it. 6-1, Buzzer Barrage, transforms you into Squawks's purple relative and has you drop barrels on Buzzes to clear the way. 6-2, Kong-Fused Cliffs, is a vertical auto-scrolling stage where you must climb up a rope that is being burned away from the bottom. 6-3, Floodlit Fish, is an underwater level (haven't seen one of those in a while, and it doesn't exactly fit with this world theme, but whatever) where the stage is dark and must be lit up by spearing a special fish (Gleamin' Bream) as Enguarde. (Or if you're playing the level on pretty much anything other than an original-model Game Boy Advance, you could just ignore the darkness gimmick altogether.) We also meet a pair of Brothers Bear twins—or at least I'd assume they're twins—named Benny and Björn. (And who else finds it odd that these guys are white, while Blizzard back in K3 was brown?)
