Let's Play Donkey Kong Country 3 GBA - Part 9: Rocky Mountain High
We now have the Turbo Ski, which means we have access to three more worlds! Yes, THREE more...in the GBA version of this game, you actually don't need to complete K3 to get to Razor Ridge. Moreover, there is actually an entire new world to go through, though since that one seems to be intended as world 7, we won't get to that for presumably 4 more episodes. For now, let's do another Banana Bird puzzle, visit Barter the Bear, and most importantly, start our climb up the heights of K3. We begin our climb with Krevice Kreepers, the first mountain-themed level, and it introduces the other type of Klasp that we'll find. These will actually follow you horizontally instead of just climbing back and forth as the ones back in Kreeping Klasps in World 3 did. Next up is Tearaway Toboggan, the other mine cart level (or at least what passes for mine carts in DKC3), and...about all that I can say about it is that there really isn't much to say, either here or in my commentary. Then we have Barrel Drop Bounce, another waterfall level with a barrel gimmick. The barrels certainly do drop, but I don't see where the bouncing comes in. Interestingly, K3 is the only world to have a different theme for each of its levels (or just four different themes, depending on whether or not you count the toboggan levels as their own theme).
Also, I realize October 1 was my 4-year anniversary of when I first started doing LPs. I probably should have done something to celebrate, but unfortunately, I couldn't think of anything in time.
