Let's Play Donkey Kong Country 3 GBA - Part 14: Two if By Land, One if By Sea
Continuing to the second half of Pacifica, we find three more levels. Yes, this new world actually has 6 levels rather than 5 for whatever reason. A brief description of each:
7-4, Cliffside Blast, is a mountain level with a lot of barrels, which makes it the only level in this world to be completely unrelated to anything to do with water. It's the closest thing DKC3 has to a true barrel-blasting level, but it's only about half barrels, the other half being yet more ropes and, naturally, Buzzes and Kopters. This one is also very vertical.
7-5, Ripcurl Reef, is...eh, I'll let the video speak for this one, because I'm not sure how to describe it here. If you want a summary of Ripcurl Reef, picture a hand throwing a controller across a room. Forever. Or the shrieks of a thousand innocent kittens meeting their untimely deaths as a thousand children wail in despair; that works too.
7-6, Surf's Up, doesn't actually have much to do with surfing, and the level name is not very Donkey Kong Country-like. It's about 60% "mine cart", 40% standard platforming, and all drainpipe.
And because of the extra level added to this world, I decided to wait to do the boss until the next episode.
