Anywho, we finally move on to the Dark World. Apparently the Dark World really hates Fraps and kills my frame rate. Expect technical difficulties for the next several parts.

Portals to the Dark World open once you reach 100 to 300 Dark Energy Index. The portal will appear in a random spot on the map. The higher the Dark Energy, the higher the range of levels you will face in the Dark World. The Dark World stages are somewhat random (hard to explain that mess) and are generally made up of broken sections of land.

Most of the monsters are the same monsters you seen before but are called Demons and are much stronger. There are also Demons of various ranks including Demon Lords and Demon Overlords. Once in the Dark World, you cannot leave until you finish all ten stages or die trying. Lucky the stages are usually small and easy to run to the next exit.

Our goal here is to kill a Level 500 Demon Overlord. I find out later that to get the Special Ending, you must kill the Highest level Overlord in the final stage of the Dark World. That is why it did not trigger I think. Who knows? This mess is less than reliable unfortunately.
