Let's Play: Make A Good Megaman Level 3 - Part 31
0After what seems like a near century wait (it was really only about 5 years), the newest Make A Good Mega Man Level (MAGMML for short) has been released! I've decided to get on this as soon as possible before I start getting spoiled on the entries. I'll be playing through the levels and reading the reviews along the way and giving some thoughts on each of the levels in the description. Feel free to follow along...
Another day, another stream of this damn game... top 40 now... if this was MAGMML 2 we'd be half way there. I didn't talk into the mic, still getting used to that... one of these days I'll figure out input... or just talk into the thing... that works too...
Explosives Factory - Not a bad stage. Some nice puzzles with the Bombombs and a silly story involving OSHA regulations and death traps. It's amazing how the slightest change in a bosses pattern can change the whole strategy of the fight. Well done.
Western Railway - I'd love to play the original level that was submitted by this one, because I did not enjoy this. It looks nice, but some design choices leave a lot to be desired, did that many Gunmen need reflect blocks in front of them? I'm also not huge on the sea-saw platforms, but that's a personal preference, it wasn't horrible, but by this point in the game, I expect better.
Secluded Terminal - Reminded me of the Mega Man World series. In a good way. This was a fun stage with a few challenging spots that never felt unfair... the only gripe is that maybe it could've used a few more checkpoints. But other than that, it was good.
It Was Rated Arr - Nice stage, hampered by a needlessly loud soundtrack. I get having issues with volume mixing, this video is proof I know nothing of it. But if you are unsure about volume, air on the side of "It is too loud" and turn it down. Fun stage regardless though.
Metall Man's Metall Factory - For a stage based on Mets, this is very fun. The aesthetics are lovely in this level and the stage has just the right challenge to hit that sweet spot of hard, but fair. My only issue is the boss. Not a fan...
Gravity Wumbo - Obligatory VVVVVV stage. Everyone one of these games have to have one. This one is better than most.
