Let's Play: Make A Good Megaman Level 3 - Part 25
0After what seems like a near century wait (it was really only about 5 years), the newest Make A Good Mega Man Level (MAGMML for short) has been released! I've decided to get on this as soon as possible before I start getting spoiled on the entries. I'll be playing through the levels and reading the reviews along the way and giving some thoughts on each of the levels in the description. Feel free to follow along...
Devil Factory - Considering it was made by a former MAGMML judge (from the first contest) it had better be good. And, yeah... it is. Fun little stage that would be higher if not for the time penalty.
Rockbound Facility - I beat this stage and promptly forgot it existed. Good stage, but forgettable.
Thermal Tundra - Oh boy... these are the stages that are making this game take so long to beat. Overly long and drawn out with high difficulty. It makes no difference how clever your gimmick is, these two flaws are the death knell of any level. That's abundantly clear in the second half of this level. After all that, the boss is rather easy. Was not a fan here.
Girder Man Stage - I mean, the stage in the title is rather redundant, no? Fun stage after the last one, loved the donkey kong mid bosses. It'd not setting the world on fire. But it's still a good romp.
An Underwater Adventure? Wow! - See Thermal Tundra... while not as bad as that is, it's still longer than it needs to be. Maybe I'm just accustomed to shorter stages from the old series. Nevertheless, what this makes up for in being easier than Tundra, it lacks in originality, choosing to use, mostly, vanilla assets. The better of the two for sure.
An Ice Cave in Russia - For a Russian themed stage, there is a lot of enemies from Mega Man 5. You'd think 4 would be the theme here, but whatever. Some creative uses of the ice blocks and Shadow Man platforms. Not bad.
My First Megamix Level uwu xd lmao }dab{ - Apparently angled brackets are not allowed? Probably a coding this. If (and that is a big if) this is a first level, bravo, very good. If not. It's still very good, did you need to beef up the enemies like that though?
