In this part of Mega Man Maker V1.0.3 (PC), I play six levels that I found on the level showcase subforum of the Mega Man Maker official forums.

The subforum can be found here: https://megamanmaker.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=13&sid=3104115bfc98c5dff0b21f6d6dd05f66

We had some rather interesting usage of gimmicks in this part. Both "Boyoyon Badlands" and "Titanite Tower" nicely introduce and utilize a variety of gimmicks. Especially the former level, with all of those springs. The latter is more of a tougher classic-styled MM level, but it was certainly fun for me to traverse through.

We also have "Castle Assault Breach", the first level with expansive alternate pathways that later connect up with each other at two points. One takes Mega Man below the castle into the waterways, and the other to the roof and sky, before joining up at the castle's center for the fight against Knight Man. This is easily my favorite level of this part, due to how well-constructed and unique each path is. I always like it when MM stages have distinct alternate routes to take. They really add to the stage's replayability.

Unfortunately, I also came across my first instance of a "challenge level". In other words, one that focuses heavily on quick reflexes and precision platforming. It's not as bad as a "kaizo" level, but it's still very punishing for not-so mechanically skilled players like me. As such, I had to use the level editor to pass the level. I certainly see where the appeal lies, but this kind of level is not for me.

Last but not least were "Redrock Mine" and "Metal". The former is certainly a solid level with nice level structure and placement of enemies/objects. But, it could use some work with ironing out the difficulty progression. In my opinion, it deserves higher than a score of -2 though. "Metal" is a very simple, straightforward, and forgettable stage. Not much I can say more about it.

As usual, please send me your level IDs (either in the comments section or on Twitter), so I can feature them in future parts.

Here are the timestamps for the levels covered in this part.
