Icewind Dale is an unforgiving place. The weather is often against you and the monsters that call the frozen north home are nothing to be trifled with but where there's danger, there's adventure. Many are lured to those lands in search of glory, riches and the thrill of combat and two such warriors call this chilly land their home. They return victorious after defeating a terrible beast though not without losing one of their own and settle in for a night of celebration in the village they call home.
Little do they know, however, that the actions of a renegade of their people will bring about tragedy and draw those two heroes into a deadly web of deciet and peril from which few ever escape.
