Let's Play Quest for Glory II VGA #30: Which are better, Brigands or Jackalmen?
85There's no situation that I know of in the game where you have a chance of encounter both brigands and jackalmen. The former roam the deserts during the day while the latter do so at night, threatening the safety of all who travel the dunes. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses, but which is better to face?
The brigand has the ability to throw knives from a distance, but travels alone. The jackalmen, on the other hand, can assail you from all sides but fight in melee only. Both aren't too dangerous for even a moderately prepared hero, but the jackalmen give you the opportunity to practice blocking multiple foes at once. They'll also provide more experience due to the length of the fight. Brigands are a much shorter fight but provide very comparable money to facing jackalmen, making them much better if you want some extra dinars quickly.
It may seem like a moot point to consider, but these are the things you end up pondering in the middle of training sessions.
