221It wouldn't be a dungeoncrawler without some dungeons and while this game has plenty of outdoor areas, there are also lots of dingy depths for us to explore too. The first of these is small and relatively light on enemies, allowing you time to get used to the mechanics of dungeons like doors and needing light to see clearly.
That being said, the party still have to be on their toes. They are still very poorly equipped and low level, but at least the latter of those things is soon to change. Each level up gives us the choice of either gaining proficiency in a new skill or improving one we have, making our party members that much more capable. The exception to this is Chee; they gain a random stat increase in addition to the skill point. Which stat it is is determined at character generation and while I hope they'll stick to being dexterity and vitality, every state is useful in some way.
