In this episode we being chapter 4, where we arrive at the traveling town of Pao. We learn the town is eventually headed to Uranbatol, the destination we are seeking to find a ship. Speaking with the townspeople, we learn of a knight named Vankar, who seems to be neglecting his guard duties. We also encounter General Elliot, the best swordsman in the Runefaust army. He informs us that Darksol managed to influence the king of Runefaust by promising him untold power. Though Elliot detests Darksol, he remains loyal to his king, though he knows his orders to be wrong. He tells us that next time we meet will be on the battlefield, but that if we manage to defeat him, we should save Runefaust from Darksol's evil clutches. We then speak with the young queen of Pao, who tells us the town is ready to leave, but out of courtesy asks our permission first. We oblige, and the traveling town departs. With nothing but tire tracks left behind, Kokichi from Bustoke comes flying down, his contraption now working, more or less. He joins the force along with Vankar, who was left behind by the nomads, the same as us. We then depart, and are faced with General Elliot's formation. Left with no choice but to defeat him, we head into battle. The General's army is no match for the Shining Force, and we notch another victory in our proverbial belt. Just as the battle ends, the traveling town suddenly shows up at our location and pitches camp.
