Our night at the restaurant serves up a plot getting thicker by the minute, with a side order of moral dilemma. Suffice to say, Nina was the target of the bombing (A for effort there, Mr. Bomber), and we have a choice between the actual culprit and a possible patsy who would have it coming. In either case, a good defenestration solves the problem in a tidy fashion. While Regis is appalled, he nonetheless gets the information he needs: the Mindjacker and his pals are hiding out at a private aerostat terminal. Time to finally do the job we tried to do several hours ago.
Not coincidentally, Latha arrives there first at Jinsil's request. Her people want to tap into the terminal's network, with Latha's role as something of a walking access point. Normally, having a barefoot VR junkie get past armed guards is kind of a big ask. Fortunately, Latha is no stranger to obscure puzzles and antisocial behavior...
