We return to the Labyrinthian, this time exploring the Domain of Kanen. Expecting a massive dungeon similar to what we got with the Domain of Mogrus, I am instead given the same map as the Domain of Mogrus with a small area to explore.

While Mogrus had a bunch of areas involving enemies and some interconnected rooms, Kanen is pretty much a confusing mess of corridors beside one another, with the underground tunnels not leading to much of interest while the upper tunnels allow for healing against any dangers to be found.

Danger wise it is a lot like Mogrus, Spiders are prevalent and a mixture of other enemies are thrown throughout the map, including another Iron Golem. He would be quite the threat, if he didn't get stuck on a ledge to allow us to use easy attacks without retaliation.

As usual we also find a lot of drops, though it definitely is notable that most things are becoming vendor trash for me, even ebony gear. I now have an ebony version of each type of jewelry, though almost every one is not being used to instead focus on boosting some stat. With many things in a decent place, I am finally able to focus on trying to raise my Endurance, which will hopefully give me some more health so I don't die as quickly. In this part I even find something to boost my Luck, which is useful if I am correct since it affects a bit of everything a bit minimally, which means while it isn't a priority to level it is something that is better off higher.

Though we are getting the Plague and getting paralyzed (this wasn't a lucky part for me for such conditions, which is surprising as I don't think I have gotten a disease or been paralyzed the entire playthrough), we manage to wander around and map out the entirety of the Domain of Kanen. Due to dying on the next enemy, I escape disease in this part, while being paralyzed is luckily only temporary.

This part also has NexusLetum and Phpminor visiting the stream again. Combine the two of them and we end up with some insane comments. We learn about Ricky, the otherkin forum user who got so drunk that he convinced himself he was a furry in a massive medieval world, including many tales of his adventures. We also learn where moaning comes from, including a side story about Fluffy Bunny (note that all of this encompasses itself at the end to become a part of the riddle somehow). We also find out that the reason we need to collect random objects to sell for a useless amount of gold. With my random wandering and their collaboration to make insane stories, this ended up being an extremely entertaining part.

Oh, we also run across something quite interesting. A chest that can neither be bashed open or unlocked, the former because it is totally unable to be hit while the latter because it immediately locks itself after being unlocked. Note this is after I keep unlocking a chest that supposedly would be a challenge to open. In any event, it is likely that we ran into that Mimic that Nexus wanted so badly (thinking about it, this was probably a side-effect of having treasure on the upper levels, where nothing can be dropped and where treasure should not naturally spawn).

I also make my way to a riddle door like the one on the other side, this time though it manages to completely stump me. With Nexus' riddle master abilities coming through, we manage to continue to blunder forward. We then head back to the central hub, where I plan to return to town before going down the portion of the dungeon with the Staff of Chaos.

Except that it turns out that the Staff of Chaos is in a single room beyond that second locked door, only being blocked to us with another riddle. This means that I decide just to get it now rather than worry about coming back later, meaning that I end up facing my second riddle of the night, which I fare a lot better with surprisingly, getting it after looking at the text for a few seconds. We also find out that the things I keep calling Liches are actually Wraiths and Ghosts.

Basically, this part showcases my completion of the Labyrinthian, meaning that the next part will be the beginning of our search for the third part of the Staff of Chaos.
