Let's Play The Elder Scrolls Daggerfall - Part 49 - Ricky Gets An Angry Mob!
1Good news, the dilemma of last time was easily solvable, somehow I messed up my math and I simply needed to wait an extra day. Phew, one thing I was concerned about out of the way. A return trip later and we get told that we should talk to Wayrest to find out who has the letter. I didn't think of it during this playthrough, but we know who has the letter (the Orcs, as I ramble in the video, it was told to us by the King of Worms ages ago) so we probably just need to talk to her again. Of course, this is what happens when I get to reread the message, as I keep repeating in the video I needed to reexamine it.
So the rest of this video mostly is devoted to killing time so I don't just stop the video right away to examine what was said, since we have other things to do. I get a replacement Daedric Dai-Katana since the one I had was worn, though not without a lot of shenanigans involving guards and fists, including a giant mob attacking me when trying to rest at a nearby inn.
My main progress comes in the form of the Lysandus quest, since I decide to go to Orsinium to find out what they want. It turns out we need to get some random dust. Entering the dungeon with the dust, we see Vampire Ancients everywhere and the place looks extremely painful. Of course I blunder down a random corridor and next thing we know I find an alternative entrance. Right around the corner from that is a mummy that surprisingly has the dust on him, meaning we practically get the dust without needing to explore any of the dungeon, making this one of the fastest trips yet. One return trip to Medora later and she pretty much tells us that we have to wait a month to progress on that quest line. Now seems like a good time to deal with the letter, things seem to be getting harder on the Lysandus questline with dungeons being filled with Vampire Ancients. I have no idea where we are in the game, but things feel like they are getting pretty far.
