The difficulty balance with these later missions certainly feels out of whack. On the plus side it's nice not to spend multiple videos taking over an outpost consisting of a single barracks. Perhaps we've improved?



Welcome to Let's Play Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, a full walkthrough of both the GDI and Nod campaigns on hard difficulty, with a sarcastic commentary to accompany you. This is one of the all time great RTS games, let's enjoy it together.

Tiberian Sun, which is surprisingly difficult to not call Tiberium Sun, is the 3rd main-series Command and Conquer game to be released all the way back in 1999. It is a great real time strategy game from the fantastic Westwood Studios. It uses a different engine than the first 2 games, with its own quirks that lead to comical AI moments and hilarious over-reactions.

We will undertake a long playthrough of both the GDI and Nod campaigns concurrently, so that the difficulty progression feels right throughout the videos. We will also be setting the game to hard mode so that I can get annihilated right out the gate. The game will also be ran in an 800x600 resolution for that true nostalgic feeling.

The original Tiberian Sun is a nightmare to get running on modern hardware, the easiest way to play the game nowadays is through the launcher provided by CnCNet: https://cncnet.org/tiberian-sun.
