I mentioned in the previous video that agreeing to Blackthorn’s deal of trading the codex lenses for the chalice of honour is a terrible trade, for the knowledge within the codex would allow the Guardian to easily conquer the world. I also mentioned that this trade isn’t coded properly, for it shouldn’t be possible to do when we don’t have the lenses in our inventory – our present situation – and yet it is.

This oversight is a curious one, a sign that they either didn’t have time to correct this oversight, didn’t notice it during programming or testing or didn’t care that it was there. Either way, it’s a curious insight into the state of the game we’re playing.
