Let’s Replay Trine 2 w/ Alienkabalien #01: Return of the MacGuffin
139There are many ways that adventure can call. Sometimes a person is driven by a desire to see good prevail or a lust for riches and fame. Others are forced into adventure through circumstance or tragedy but there are times when adventure decides to be proactive and comes knocking on your door… literally. You can try and ignore it but all that’ll do is prompt adventure to kick the door down and drag you kicking and screaming on an epic journey of wonder and peril.
Such is the case with the heroes of the Trine, called upon to save the kingdom once again by the ever-enigmatic Trine, a floating MacGuffin that has the power to teleport people places but not the foresight to put them exactly where they need to be to do said kingdom saving. I’d like to think this is so the heroes can learn what they need to learn along the way but a small part of me wonders whether the Trine just likes putting them in danger’s way.
Whatever the reason, it’s clear that this is an adventure that I’d best not go on alone. Fortunately, I know just the person who’d want to come along...
