Finding Stone Cove was only the second step in seeking the earth titan, the first being learning the spells from the necromancers of ages past. the third and final step is the most complicated and difficult, requiring the Avatar to use all that he's learned as well as no small amount of cunning and combat prowess to navigate through the cave system that will lead him to Lithos. It's even more dangerous then the catacombs and the journey to Stone Cove which goes a long way to explaining why there's not that many necromancers around; the path to becoming one is so deadly that it's a miracle enough made it through the journey to get to the point they're at now and from the many, many piles of remains we've seen on our journey a lot have tried.
Fortunately, the Avatar is more then prepared for the dangerous journey, equipped as he is with a full set of armour, multiple magic weapons and the ability to miraculously heal all his wounds from a short nap on a bedroll. That resting for so little time heals you so completely along with eliminating the hunger mechanic from the previous game is greatly beneficial while also destroying some of the challenge that the puzzles in this part of the game present. there indeed is a way to figure out the puzzles and solve them properly but when you can easily brute force them and the only punishment for doing so is losing some health, there's little reason to do it the way the game intends you to.
