Let's Play Yoshi's Island - Part 20: Impossibility Drive
0It's Extra 4! This is by far the easiest Extra stage of the six, yet it's taken me the most time of any so far...because it's so easy to screw up and have to redo parts of it. Its full name is Extra 4: The Impossible? Maze...and if you're doing this stage for the first time, you'll probably wonder why they bothered putting that question mark there. (At least, if my experience was anything to go by.) There are very few enemies in this stage, but it can be annoying in a different way from, say, Extra 3. If the name didn't make it evident, this is a maze stage. It has a sewer theme, and there are large pipes that you can enter that act similar to doors. If you want to get through the maze, you'll need to find the correct pipes...but some pipes that you need are too high above the ground for Yoshi to enter, and you must push crates underneath them to give him a boost. Unfortunately, if you should mess up and let the crate end up in the wrong place or fall down the wrong corridor, you'll usually have to restart the entire puzzle from the beginning. That's the problem with this stage...it is laughably easy once you have the motions down pat, but doing everything correctly all the way through can be just a bit tricky. It is a rather unique environment, though, using the sewer graphics and boss anteroom music outside of a castle.
