If we’re to stand any chance of preventing an invasion of Earth, we need to stop the demons from invading Mars before the UAC fleet arrives. The portal in Delta Labs is non-functional but Betruger let slip that there’s another one that serves his purposes – whatever they are – far better. Swann confirmed this and from all the information we’ve gathered, there’s only one place it can be: the dig sites.

While Mars City was originally founded as a research facility, it quickly became an archaeological expedition as well with the discovery of the alien ruins. While they led to amazing realisations about the history of Mars and our own species, they also probably led to the mess we’re in right now thanks to the tablets which hinted at both of the Soul Cube and the strange dimension which the demons are invading from. Too late did the researchers realise they’d been left as a warning to help others avoid the same mistakes that had occurred in the distant past but if Delta Labs hadn’t recklessly pushed ahead then we wouldn’t have a game, would we?
