It's not possible to completely clear Upper Opinwood of enemies due to the hornets nests scattered around that area, they'll continue to spawn at regular intervals as long as you're there. Fortunately without the molders there it's quite easy to deal with them as you can use the freeze spells to damage them en masse. The chance of being poisoned by the hornets is rather low compared to other enemies and at this point it's relatively easy to deal with it.

You may think that we can avoid the Urbish mines and just head on deeper into the woodland from this map. While that's true the game isn't as generous as that. The only way to progress at this point is to venture into the mines and search for someone that said they'd be heading down there; we're going to need their help and an item they have to get further into the game and hopefully save King Richard. Before we do that however we'll need to clear up a lot of inventory space and for that we'll need to head to the swamp and sell things.
