We must consider carefully which of the remaining factions we take on next, for all of the ‘easy’ ones have been eliminated in one way or another. Fire swore fealty to us, air swore fealty to life – the same happened in the Bradigan run, making me wonder if that is a common occurrence – and water have fallen to our might, leaving only the factions that started off very strong. Each of the four that are left have lots of units and a legendary creature within their great temple but they’re not all equal in strength.

Life is by far the strongest of the four factions with two lords and cities, so we don’t want to pick a fight with them unless they start one with us. Order have only one city but a lot of really capable units that have managed to keep their lands relatively free of marauders. Earth aren’t faring as well as the others but order’s territory is just to the north and with how aggressive order have been, I fear that they’ll try and take the earth city from us once we took it for ourselves. This leaves our next target: chaos. They may be in a stronger position than earth but their units have low defence and they tend to let their lord wander far from their city, so it’s likely going to be poorly defended when we arrive by boat and surprise them with an army of doom knocking on their door.
