Oh, you thought we were done with the silliness of battling historical figures by means of rolling giant boulders down hills? You thought you’d seen the last of the tongue-in-check pythonesque humour that manages to both take itself seriously and not take itself seriously all at once? You thought were done with the happiest rock in existence?
Well, I hope this has bowled you over in surprise. Get it? Bowled, boulder- Never mind.
Rock of Ages 2: Bigger and Boulder is the 2017 sequel to Rock of Ages which takes everything the original game did wonderfully and builds upon it. The graphics have improved, the gameplay is further refined and more varied with extra game mode sin the single player campaign. The humour is also expanded upon, with more in-depth cutscenes and a plot that you actually have to take a tiny about of effort to follow but the most important thing to ask is this: is the sequel as fun as the original was?
