While the first terror mission we had to deal with didn't go as badly as it could've done, there's certainly room for some improvement. Losing soldiers in battle is something you should always be prepared for but effort must be taken to save as many of them as possible. The cost in money isn't so troublesome but the time taken to train them up is a liberty we won't have later on. Easier enemies start appearing less frequently as the months go on and while they never entirely vanish, the opportunities to train up a fresh batch of rookies will be few and far between in a couple of months.

With that in mind, it's time to make sure that we're better prepared for future encounters with the aliens. We're busy researching superior weaponry and will eventually get round to some armour for our soldiers, but until that time comes we're going to have to rely on the conventional equipment that's on offer to us from the funding nations, some of which I've never used before. Will it be the missing piece of the puzzle that compliments our squad perfectly or will it be an expensive mistake we can ill afford? The only way to find out is on the field of battle against the alien invaders.
