Let's Play Malcolm's Revenge #02: Finding our Bearings
242Malcolm may be free from his petrification but he's been out of it for a long time. Much has changed since his epic battle with Brandon back in the first game, none of it Malcolm would consider good. Revenge is surely at the top of his agenda - hence the name of the game - so it's best to get started on that. There are a number of obstacles in our way however right from the start, namely that Malcolm is a very distinctive character. It's going to be tricky for him to sneak around Kyrandia undetected, so we're going to have do something that I'm not very good at: we're going to use our wits and that means not blundering blindly into every situation, which I'm really proficient at doing.
Make no mistakes about it, we are not the hero of this story. We're the villain being guided by our bad conscience, seeking to draw Kyrandia into chaos and get our own back at the ones who bested us at the start of the trilogy. If we succeed or not is entirely in my hands, that and the flow of the plot of the game. If Kyrandia is lucky I'll get Malcolm killed in some foolish way but I'll endevour not to do so as best I can.
As I've never played this game, please refrain from posting spoilers for the plot. You can however talk about things that I may have missed within a video or alternate ways to solve problems I come across.
Due to the nature of my recording schedule at the start of a let's play, a number of videos are recorded in advance before the first is uploaded. As such, advice given in the comments cannot be acted upon until video 7.
