I decided upon this so you could listen to music of your choice while I talk or put it on in the background while doing other things.
In this video, we move on from talking about world building to discuss the final major building blocks of any work of fiction: characters. Your story will be full of characters, whether they’re warrior kings, space bandits, sentient galaxies or slices of toast going on a magical adventure. Working out their appearance, personalities and all the little quirks and foibles that flesh them out and make them come alive is a long and tricky process. In this video I hope to give you some insight into how I go about making characters as well as discuss a few pitfalls that you should try to avoid.
