So the developers of Kungfu Cowboy contacted me asking if I'd be interested in trying out their prototype, and I'm generally pretty happy to feature games on stream if the devs are willing to reach out to me.

Kungfu Cowboy is a couch co-op roguelike platformer. I didn't get to play any co-op, but I did give the game a solid try. You know what? It's pretty good! The game offers controller support that was snappy, the gameplay itself felt easy until it very much wasn't, and there were a surprising level of customization that you can apply to your character as you play. You can improve your characters traits, get different weapons, etc. and there were way more options than I expected I expected far less from a prototype, honestly. the movement is a little stiff, but not terribly so.

The visuals are cute, but a little rough (again, prototype), and the same could be said for the sound engineering. The sound-effects and music are okay, but need some polish.

Overall I enjoyed myself way more than I expected to, given it's a prototype. I've asked the devs to ping me when the game is further along in development, because I'd be happy to come back to it again.
