So Kickstarter threw this adorable-looking game my way a couple days ago. It had a cute fox solving zelda-style puzzles, with a bright and colourful palette and adorable characters. I found out said game had a tech demo, so I went and grabbed it. I had a little trouble running it locally (turns out you can play it right on the itch.io site, woops) but I got there. What I was greeted with was indeed a tech demo of sorts, but one that intrigued me!

Lonesome Village is exactly as I described: a bright and colourful world where you, and intrepid fox? Wander into an empty town with a giant evil-looking tower at the back of it. You solve puzzles and intrigue, and as a result get to repopulate the town. This feels like Moonlighter, but without the horrible, horrible grind. I admit this is a limited tech demo, but it's enough to pique my interest, and I may just revisit it when it comes out of Early Access.
