In the last part of Episode 2, Alex helps out Eleanor by jogging her memory, then finally catches up with Mac Loudon, uses her powers on him, and gets him to confess that he did conceal Gabe's warning call on demand from his superiors at Typhon, leading ultimately to Gabe's death. Alex now finds herself at a crossroads - whether to continue the investigation, despite now being openly pitted against a superior enemy, or drop it - but a little heart-to-heart conversation with Ryan back at the location of the original accident seems to seal that particular deal for her. Fortunately, her telepathic powers yield a perfect clue about who of her new acquaintances she should focus the next leg of her investigation on...
