In this chapter, Detective Durkin forms an unexpected alliance with Rosa, setting her free even after she gets caught in a compromising position next to Lia Pierro's dead body. Able to continue the investigation, Rosa and Joey search the apartment of George Ostin, the original victim, where they discover another unidentified female ghost and a clue that eventually, through a bit of hassle at the Grace Church, leads them to the hideout of Michael Cooper, the last surviving member of the "Grace Group" who, as it turns out, is also serving as the latest host to Madeline, Rosa's old acquaintance through her conflict with the "Countess". Together, Rosa, Joey, and Madeline pledge to join forces in order to find out what kind of evil force has been ripping apart the souls of the "Grace Group" members, one by one...
