Limited Edition PS4 Sells For $20K
5The extremely limited 20th Anniversary edition Playstation 4 has popped up on ebay, and since it’s fully sold out, it’s pretty damn expensive. Only 12,300 consoles were actually made in the first place, each with its own unique number etched onto the console.
As cool as that is, one of them actually sold for just over twenty thousand dollars. Woah. Another sold for just over fifteen thousand, with plenty more available for bidding online, starting at around one thousand five hundred dollars. That’s just a tad more than the original price of $500 – a nice profit.
But honestly, if I owned one of those things, I don’t know if I’d be able to sell it. Even for twenty thousand dollars, it’s such an amazing gaming artefact that getting rid of it if you were actually lucky enough to get one in the first place would just be so, so hard. That’s a piece of history, right there. What’s the price of history?
