Liquid Kids - A Playguide and Review - by LemonAmiga.com
Liquid Kids is yet another gem in the Amiga back catalogue, this time UNRELEASED by Ocean! We played this in the SuperLeague competition last year, and here is one of my score attempts. :)
Production Notes:

Ripped: 27 Sept 2014
Edited: 7-12th June 2015
Bugs:
Long videos recorded on my system tend to have a sound lag. This isnt so bad (?) on games like Nitro, as the music stops playing between levels enough to re-align the sound, even though it means splitting off the sound and trying to fix it by ear. I think I did a good job of it here; although I'm mentioning it in case anyone spotted it. After I rendered the final video, the sound sync moved again, so its not as tight as I'd hoped.
The comparison zone didnt get an intro again because I mention it in the voiceover anyway, so maybe I dont need that caption after all.
In the commentary I say twice "this is as far as I ever got." but clearly I mentioned previously that with continues I got a lot further; -right up to the second to last boss. Sorry if this was confusing. I mean't "on one token."
It was a nightmare trying to balance the voice with the music, and if I shout over some bits its because the game music and effects were originally much louder in the mix.
But the main bug bare, the thing which almost held this up, was the intro. You may notice the Liquid character has a few transparent pixels; which show through to the blue background. This looked fine on my test renders no problem. This character was actually added to the first of several files which make up the intro, and each file affects the others, so fixing a sprite is a bit like going to fix an 'O' ring washer in an engine - its a long job. When I rendered it, the Project X sprite kept appearing and disappearing in the frame, and as this too was buried under scores of layers of tracks within files, I decided just to fill in those frames with the previous good frame and get around fixing the intro. Serves me right for not being prepared this season. But as the intro is all complete now for all 44 shows, its just a matter of fixing it up for next time, and everything should be fine from then on. (famous last words).
