The player controls a character known as the Lizard Wizard, who wears a jetpack and flies over the volcanic alien world of Zyfus.
The objective is to eliminate hazards, including flying rocks, fireballs, and dragons, while also rescuing prisoners from planet "Zyfus" who emerge from erupting volcanoes. When all threats in a stage are cleared, the game automatically advances to the next level.

Controls include an eight-way joystick for movement and a single button for firing. Points are awarded for destroying enemies and rescuing prisoners, with no fixed score limit.

There are a limited number of stage patterns, which repeat endlessly in cycles that increase in difficulty over time.
There is no final level, no ending sequence, and no final boss. The game continues until the player loses all lives, making it an endless arcade game by design.
