Kingdom Hearts 2 - I really loved this game despite the rehashing of worlds. Rikku and Sora's end game moments are among my top 10 favorite gaming moments.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - I literally enjoy just walking around in the world. Exploration and story are key in this game. Also the visuals and audio rock.

Final Fantasy 12 -- (Truncated for original Review) So what could make me feel that this game was not worth the extra time and energy I put into it? One word, Substance. I was greatly surprised by the lack of story in this Final Fantasy. While some elements are touched upon, I would have like to have gotten everybody in my parties back story. Why is the bunny chick with the badass sky pirate? Why the hells are Vann and Penelo still in my party, they are stupid kids that I could care less about. What is the real story behind the Judges and their empire motives? There are tons of questions like these that never get fleshed out, and drove me to not like this game. Now besides the main story, Final Fantasies usually have a couple of mini-games thrown into the fix to help spice things up. In Final Fantasy XII there are just a series of sub quests that are just simple go find the monster and kill it tasks, which is a nice slight distraction. However it is nowhere near the fun level of Final Fantasy X Blitz Ball, Final Fantasy IX or VIII card games, or Final Fantasy VII Golden Saucer and Chocobo Breeding.

I guess what really annoyed me about the game was that the leveling felt forced. Usually in a Final Fantasy game when you progress through maps and dungeons you gain experience that should lead you to the appropriate level you need to be at for the next area. In Final Fantasy XII all too often did I find myself being overwhelmed when I entered a new area and then had to go back and grind my way up to an acceptable level. This is so much a problem that two of my co-workers, both avid Final Fantasy fans, have put off playing this game and have moved onto playing and beating other games that have been recently released. So while I really wanted to love this game I cannot. The funny thing is while others hated the new combat system the most, I found it the only reason to keep playing the game. I guess now I can wait for Final Fantasy XIII when it gets released for the PlayStation 3. Hopefully it will be out in the United States before 2008. (LOL 2010)

Dead Rising - The best zombie game ever. So much over the top freedom.

Bully - GTA distilled to it greatest form.

Gears of War - Looked great everything else average, story flat.

Viva Piñata - Another game I enjoyed way too much. Damn you eagle I will never catch you.

Saints Row - So much better than GTA, loved the gangster/thug cheesiness.
