Well, that was a fun diversion... and by "fun," I mean "nerve-wracking" until finally the puzzle does indeed give way and the shroud of confusion and despair is lifted and you eventually spot a lingering formation that can indeed be cleared out with what's sitting in your upcoming pieces queue.

Now we can get back to more... uh... standard construction projects, right?

Puzzle 17: Big Square

Oho! Now the qualifier of "little" on the second puzzle doesn't seem so out of place, does it? ...did it ever? Maybe? Well, this is the BIG square to that little square.

You might notice that there's a little primary color tile in the construction to make sure your off-color panels in the middle don't go and match themselves up and force you into a bind when it comes to actually finishing this thing off. How nice of them!

...uh, not that we *couldn't* have done that ourselves anyway, but it's the little things that count.

At any rate, those keen of eye might care to notice that because of this little quirk, this puzzle is actually more like its smaller cousin than simply being a matter of different-sized subject. The entirety of the original Small Square rests squarely within the larger.

I don't know if this is a factor or not, but this puzzle has never given me much trouble... maybe all these squared-off tiles being most visually conducive to being arrayed in straight lines rather than diagonals has something to do with that.
