Well, no ninja illnesses or anything... just a little over-rested and overly much enjoying the privilege while it lasts. Trying to get all the things I want to fill the days with squeezed into place hasn't really worked out, but I'm fairly safely without remorse all the same.

I may come to feel some measure of regret in the very near future, but a particularly uncooperative P2 with similarly lacking remorse for what could have been, so really it all cancels out... or... whatever. Something like that!

Puzzle 15: Infinity

Oh no! I've finally done it, and the puzzle titles agree! We're doomed to an infinite progression of only slightly different arrows!

...oh, wait, false alarm (and a distinct lack of humor to boot), this puzzle IS the symbol for infinity. Well, a fairly uncommon orientation on it, but infinity nevertheless. Naturally, it is the most reasonably concise permutation to be implemented in a game like Lumines.

That said, just because the geometry is relatively simple doesn't mean it's trivial to construct... this persnickety partial pretzel of a puzzle can prove problematic if you should get yourself turned around traversing its treacherous twist. In particular, it's easy to zero in on the fact that it's essentially a pair of squares that share a single pixel... but it's also a deceptively simple matter to finish building the first one without properly beginning the second.

The key to said transition is to visualize the cross-shaped intersection between the squares as you wrap up the first one. Then you can worry about the negative space supporting the bulk of the upper square. Well, it works for me... whatever rationalization you prefer to get the creative and rational hemispheres working in tandem.
