I think that this is the last puzzle in the on-again, off-again animal progression... and you'd think that as someone who has this thing figured out ahead of the actual viewership that someone in my position could be a little more certain about something like that.

Anyway, the series definitely started out strong and felt really consistent and formed a pretty solid foundation for building the valuable skills needed to succeed as Puzzle Mode carried on further. Then... they really seemed to have fallen out of sight, and now I'm forced to find incidental comparisons to draw between them rather than explain what we've learned and how we can apply them in a different way.

Maybe that's a sign that we are now perfection-grade Lumines masters and all puzzles that they present now are merely there to be crushed by our mighty powers of visualization?! ... or... uh... yeah! Let's go with that, even if we don't really believe it.

...but I do think that at some point the training wheels did come off... or kinda fall off... or at least go off the rails or something... (Complete this thought with the mixed and/or misleading metaphor of your choice!)

Puzzle Mode
Puzzle 21: Snake

What better to follow the human than the treacherous snake? Consistently able to strike fear and dread and all kinds of deceit upon mythic and modern man alike, the snake's cunning is most appropriate to come next.

...or it would be, but this puzzle feels a little too easy compared to what we've been dealing with. There's no particularly tricky elements at work, and the body itself is actually a fair bit simpler and more orderly than it might originally appear... and then you just cap it off with a head after a small amount of negative space building.

Of course, I say all that, and I still manage to get it wrong and most of the video is centered around my attempts to fix having mistaken how high off the floor it has its head raised.

The funny thing is that if I'd just realized that my intentions were mistaken all along, I could've finished this thing off way sooner and without any problems... because the very first piece I got when it could've been finished was just what I would need.

(And I complained about not being able to complain hard enough to influence the video's progression before!)
