Lumines -- Puzzle Mode, Delete Over 20 Blocks x2
Wow, this is the 50th puzzle... and if you're actually reading this, congratulate yourself for actually reading this.
Although I will admit that this congratulatory statement might be just a little presumptuous and premature in the case that you somehow stumbled here from somewhere else besides your subscription box or the playlist I've set up for these videos, in which case I can only offer you clearance for the lesser congratulations of arriving here against all logical odds and still choosing to read on.
Okay, I think that's more than enough in terms of writing to keep out the majority of the riffraff before moving along to more likely accurate congratulations... the average wanderer by probably won't commit to expanding the description and simply reading it for the sake of stealing meaningless adulations and accolades, right?
If you're still reading, congratulate yourself for likely being one of those rare weirdos who has not only read this and not only read a description I wrote in the first place (both severely strange offenses even in and of themselves), but also someone who has potentially achieved the pure insanity of reading fifty Lumines puzzle descriptions in a row...even after the warnings that they were going to repeat themselves with a minor additional cycle each 24 puzzles ago... for which I can only assume you're going to be involuntarily committed to a rehabilitation facility in order to cure that which ails your addled mind should this horrifying truth come to light. Congratulations! (And congratulations on evading the mental health professionals up to this point, too!)
If, however, you are reading this without all the prior criteria having applied, thank you for being honest and rejecting my kudos. (And if you did not do the right thing, a renegade clear line will be coming your way soon to delete you from existence. Sorry, it's the law of Lumines.)

Puzzle 50: Delete Over 20 Blocks x2
Aha, now here's another one that you can really manage to sink some effort into... and not just because it requires a shifting of gears from construction to deletion. I seem to be consistent in my initial delusion that I could build a simple 4x4 formation to fulfill the objective, so clearly I need some work on my normal multiplication and/or counting skills... I'm pretty sure what made me think this probably has something to do with the picture for the puzzle, which seems to imply a square shape... and obviously 20 is not a perfect square. Therfore the buck stops... over there! (Go chase it while I run away from taking the blame!)
Anyway, I spend most of the first attempt under this misguided guiding prinicple, even to the point that I actually manage to disregard the special piece when it finally arrives and I end up burying it uselessly. That said, if I can't manage to come up with something else, the puzzle might just become waiting out a second special piece... not that this would be particularly bad. Then again, the clears created following the special clear could probably manage to engineer deletions of the remaining color in the quantities I require.
Still, I can't count on that! I need to dig deep and come up with something more within the realm of my control... so I take the same principle I was already working on with the 4x4 and just expand it further and build a larger surface area for the falling pieces to clear for sure... and then just cram a bunch of pieces into the mass of resulting clears for that last grasp at perceived greatness.
