So anyway, those congratulations might have struck you as a little premature, but I figured you could use a little pep talk before the final stretch... and heck if I'm going to congratulate potential last-moment interlopers for sticking it out if they really only wanted to see some of the more significant ones in the final batch. That privilege is its own reward, no?

Besides, it felt rude not to acknowledge a substantial and rounded figure like fifty, particularly considering that only just over half offered a totally original experience.

...oh, and yes, you're right to ask, I AM just stalling for time so that the professionals in white coats and carrying some extra tranquilizers and a straightjacket just for you can make their way to your position... or the rogue clear line for the rest of you, but only if you were dishonest about things.

(You probably COULD manage to escape it if you kept moving and actually watch the ones you took credit for, then it might decide to give you a break and let you go.)

Puzzle Mode
Puzzle 51: Zero to Three x2

Oh yeah, now the real fun begins! As I have already made my peace with Clear All even on the theoretical level... never mind that there's the very real practical fact that the pieces aren't randomized, meaning theory isn't theoretically necessary... but that would be kinda lame, either taking a prescribed set of moves or just trying to brute-force the opening moves until you can wash your hands of it entirely.

But yes, fun! This is, for all intents and purposes, the final challenge that Lumines Puzzle Mode can throw your way. And, I mean, this puzzle is already tough enough once over. It's the puzzle that exposed to us the fact that the underlying mechanism upon which the whole x2 thing could be possible. So, now you get to do this thing again. Twice.

If there was already an issue with space on the first Zero to Three... and lategame x2 puzzles already carry a higher than normal chance of running afoul of the same... well, I think we're in store for some claustrophobic construction work.

Anyway, space will be at a constant premium and as such, this is the real test of adaptive formation construction, cleanup and repair under both temporal and spatial pressure, and multitasking the digits by sheer necessity... there's just not enough space to just throw away too many pieces and not enough corners to cram them away into. Good luck!
