I know most of my earlier puzzles were marked with explanations of how the game is played and what makes Puzzle Mode so different from regular Lumines play... then sort of a wasteland where I could talk about the shapes themselves and what they "mean" instead of wondering how the now-familiar mechanics mean I have to move pieces around without wrecking the criteria for a finished image. Then I really got down to brass tacks and talked strategy for the late puzzles and why they deserved (some more than others) to be that far back in the gran schemed of things.

As we began our x2 puzzle adventure, I was able to do something kinda similar... there was an explanation of the rules and how that affects the puzzle construction and clearing in order to pass the stage, then talking about how things we used to take for granted are suddenly a bigger deal as the puzzles get more involved and will still require I have the resources in terms of time and space to actually finish off the second repetition, and... now... uh... can I really even talk strategy for these shapes at this point? And we already know all the basic (and even some not-so-basic) pitfalls introduced when we reach a certain level of complexity... so what's there left to discuss? Let's... just do it, eh?

Now, if you really want to be an impatient showboat, you can try working on both iterations of the cleared puzzle at the same time... well, either that, or you could use my rationalization that the pieces would just go to waste and get tossed into a dangerously growing "discard pile" at the edge of the screen, and you really can't afford to do too much of that when you're dealing with puzzles as space-intensive as these.

That said, whether through indecision or lack of vision, I will not be outdone by mere multitasking when it comes to my resolve to be wasteful!

Uhm... how 'bout those minor video frame trepidations, huh? Maybe I need a virtual tripod for the non-camera fixated on the action that isn't really taking place so much as being recreated pixel-by-pixel in a direct copy of the game's video output feed... eh? Ehhh?!

Okay, I really got nothin' now... I didn't even have the decency to do anything particularly crazy or stupid or anything like that here... I made one kinda not very serious mistake and threw out a bit more pieces than I probably might've needed to... not that I much enjoy the insanity that comes with second-guessing every single drop and having to visualize the specific impact their addition in a new location would have on the solidarity of the whole stack. See?! Nothing to see here!
