Well, that was one of our known major hurdles cleared under the second set of circumstances. Now, we get at least some manner of reprieve until the next one stumbles in and body slams my mental state... and since that directly affects my past self, it'll cascade back up the timeline for untold effects on the present! It could be catastrophic! ...at least it could be for anybody trying to follow my words. (I'll make it easy at first!)

Or... I could check the order of upcoming puzzles, which is handily stored on my computer awaiting upload OR happens to be properly catalogued in my handy Lumines playlist. The obvious answer to such an absurdly reasonable notion is "NEVER!"

Puzzle 35: Smile x2

Oh yeah... this guy. Thing. Face. Uh. Yeah! I mean, it kinda looks like one, but I still have to stare at it a bit and let my eyes go in and out of focus a couple of times until it looks kinda like what it's supposed to. Like an unmagic "magic eye" picture or something. ("Magic eye" images never really worked all that well for me anyway.)

So, and I can't be sure how much I'm stepping on the toes of other, less-present, but still not as past as past-me who played this, who's less past than past-me who played the single version of Smile... but if I can't be bothered to check the simple order of the puzzles, how can you think that I'd go back and read what I wrote when I was writing about it last? (You heard me!)

Uh, anyway, temporal and written snarls of continuity aside, what I meant to get at was that my inability to properly visualize a smiley variant can't bode well for my ability to envision how the falling pieces can constitute a proper reconstruction. And I do feel like I probably already said that, but I clearly don't care enough to check, just to complain about my lack of willingness to check. (How 'bout that, huh?)

Anyway... I believe it merits potential lazy restatement, because clearly I WAS having trouble planning my attacks upon this smiling devil. So much so, that I get the feeling that at one point it proved easiest to simply make quick note of an existing checkered pattern to turn into a smile. Improvisation counts for something, right?

Only now, at the end, do I understand. My feeble skills were no match for the Smile side. I have paid the price for my lack of vision!
