Whoa, whoa, whoa... wait... what's up here? This video's running time is ridiculous! How did this happen?! Well, surely my consideration of wanting to make sure you get your attention's worth in video content means this one can stand alone for the night... but no, I want Lumines and its puzzles dead, so expect another one sometime after this one manages to go live. It will actually manage to be "normal" length for puzzles, thus it wouldn't do to send THAT one out to stand on its own sometime. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. (Prosper and profit from it!)

Puzzle Mode
Puzzle 41: Infinity x2

I have no idea what it is about some puzzles that gives me trouble, particularly since after the fact I can easily break down what it was I needed to do in order to reduce them to their trivial parts and polish them off theoretically. I guess really, it's probably something similar to watching a puzzle play out instead, but one step further removed and therefore one step too far unnecessarily and unrightly sure of itself.

Oh, but what really takes the cake here is my attempt to rather handily build an Infinity... mirrored. I can't believe how easily I managed to build... a completely useless formation. Yay! Uh... clearly I must've done that on purpose... to uh... show everyone that it's not valid to do so. Yeah!

Then, of course, space began running low after I'd completely wasted such an ideal building spot and I began to grow visibly more desperate to try to salvage the situation. I grow legitimately close to an actual traditional game over in a mode where that's technically not even supposed to register on your usual list of concerns, and then I almost seem like I'm on my way to a miraculous solution to all my woes... and then proceed to basically blow that up in the most catastrophic way possible. Well, it could've been more catastrophic if I hadn't ended up clearing so much space out without meaning to. Grr!

Oh, and part of the video's running time issues stem from the fact that I forgot to edit out almost a full minute of... absolutely nothing between failure and retry. I can scarcely imagine what I must've been doing at that time, but it wasn't a HUGELY long break in the action, so the capture didn't get a cut and it wasn't lengthy enough to stand out to me in post-production. Ah well. Skip to 6:10 if you want to pick up from the second attempt. (Still, almost five minutes for a failure by itself is pretty crazy!)

I hope what immediately follows accurately captures my apparently frazzled and erratic state of mind, because... yeesh. Wow. Remember, kids... don't... just say no to stress and puzzles! They're a lethal combination. Just look at what effect it had upon the capture stream! I'm lucky I didn't kill any of the hardware involved in playing and/or capturing this insanity.

Then, much later and still no real improvement in my apparent mental clarity, I seemed to have some success brute-forcing some train of logic that only allegedly makes sense after the fact. I thought it was going to be a lot of failure and even managed to surprise myself that I didn't allow some kind of... utterly meaningless video get published.
